West Middlesex Children's Services

As well as having our own paediatric consultants, we are linked with the tertiary centres of Great Ormond Street, Chelsea and Westminster and Brompton Hospitals, and work with their specialist consultants as required.

We provide the following services at the West Middlesex:

Allergy and Immunology

We offer a 'one-stop' clinic with a consultant, clinical nurse specialist and a dietician that GPs can make a single referral to. Clinics are held weekly on Wednesday and Friday mornings.

Our own consultant with a special interest in cardiology works with the specialist cardiology team from the Royal Brompton.

Clinical Haematology

Our own consultant, Dr Anne Davies, and other clinical haematologists from WMUH provide combined clinics with strong links to tertiary centres.

We have a weekly clinic, complementing the service that is mainly provided in the community.

Our own consultant liaises with Great Ormond Street Hospital. Clinics are all day on the last Friday of the month.

Our ENT clinic has three consultants. We have an audiology booth for sensory tests and a consulting room for minor procedures, providing a 'one-stop' service for referrals. Clinics are on the first and third Tuesday of the month.

Our own consultant, Dr Anne Davies, provides a shared service with consultants from Chelsea and Westminster.

General Paediatrics

Our own consultant runs a renal clinic and works in liaison with the St Mary's Hospital (Imperial College) team, providing regular joint renal clinics at WMUH.

Our own consultants in conjunction with visiting consultants.

Paediatric Surgery

Clinics for diagnosis or evaluation on Monday and Thusday afternoons. In liaison with Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Our own consultants work in liaison with consultants from the Brompton Hospital. Clinics are held to advise patients on management and assess outcomes. We provide asthma teaching and conduct spirometry tests, referring to other specialists (e.g. allergy) as appropriate. We also have a TB clinic and undertake contact tracing in the vicinity.
